The garden is an L shape with the pool in one area and the gazebo with comfy rattan seating in the other. If you need it, we provide fencing across one section of the patio to create a small toddler play area with play house and toys where the patio doors are.

This means you can leave that door open so toddlers can play inside or outside in the fenced area away from the pool. The private pool is 7.5 x 3.5 m and can be heated at additional cost (£20 per day); it has roman steps into the pool which is great for children and sun loungers which is great for the adults!

Although plenty of street parking is available, there is a driveway if you would like to park the car in the villa grounds.

The villa is located in Ayia Triada near Kapparis; a beach resort on the East coast of Cyprus just north of Protaras and Pernera. Kapparis is an up-and-coming town which has all the amenities of a bigger resort without the downsides. The villa is only 5 minutes walk in one direction to the safe sandy beaches and the same distance in the other to several restaurants and shops. There are more restaurants, bars and supermarkets in neighbouring Kapparis.

Beaches
There are 3 local beaches to choose from. It's just 5 minutes walk to the safe sandy beach at Ayia Triada (Trinity beach) a family beach ideal for toddlers to play at the waters edge safely. It is very well maintained and has sunbeds & umbrellas for hire (€2.50 a day).

The beach is a sandy crescent and has a small fishing harbour (you can get very fresh fish if you catch a boat coming in!) and Fisherman's church at one end which is always good for a stroll with the kids. Serena bay is a 10 minute walk and Golden Coast is 15 minutes walk on the way into Pernera; it's part of a large hotel offering all the normal facilities. You can drive and park at the beaches too if you've got too much to carry. All the beaches are sandy and very sheltered (so perfect for paddling) and along the edges of the coves there are rocky pools & caves to explore! The snorkelling is amazing.

Restaurants and Shops
Ayia Triada has several traditional restaurants offering local dishes and specialising in fish. A local grill house offers eat in and takeaway traditional Cypriot grilled kebab and burgers, if you fancy a lazy evening around the pool. Thelassa is an event venue offering jazz and other entertainment in their restaurant overlooking lawns and the beach.

Just down the road is Kapparis; a very family friendly town with around 10 great places to eat including Italian, Cypriot & Greek European. There is a very nice modern Italian place (called Just Italian) and 3 local Cypriot restaurants that we really like. Our favourite is Faliros where the food is fantastic, cocktails are 3 Euros and they have great entertainment on Thursdays! There are about 6 bars, ranging from Mello which is very relaxed with comfy soft sofas inside & out to relax on, to the sports bars that focus more on the latest sports and have pool tables etc. There are plenty of other shops and a fabulous bakery called Marangos which has every type of dessert you could imagine; cakes, breads, sweets and they do takeaway food like lasagne and roast chicken if you don't fancy cooking.

There are 3 supermarkets in Kapparis that cover all the basics; food, fresh fruit and veg, frozen foods, children's essentials (nappies, baby food etc), fun things for pool and beach, and a well stocked off-licence that sells beer and wine called Bottom's Up! Just up the road is a fabulous butchers and further shops with more choice for fresh fruit and veg.

Children's Activities
Kapparis has a great children’s play area with a huge choice of bouncy castles, giant inflatable slides, trampolines and other rides. There’s a parent’s area for relaxing (with a drink and food if you want) while the children play in the park.

Good to know

  • Transfer time from Larnaca 45 mins
  • Flight time from UK 4 hrs 30 - 5 hrs 10 mins
There are two nearby airports:

Larnaca Airport is a 60 km (36 mile) 45 min drive
Paphos Airport is a 170km (100 mile) 2 hr drive.

Travel from airport to villa

Car hire – plenty to choose from. Some will meet you in the arrivals hall, a few have desks there and some are located just outside the airport. We can recommend a good hire car company that meets you as you come out of the arrivals hall.

Transfers – again plenty to choose from. We have worked with a fantastic transfer company for many years that beat the others on both price and service. They cost €50 each way for 4 people plus luggage and provide child seats for no extra cost. Just let us know your children’s ages and they select the appropriate seat. Its €70 for up to 6 and €80 for up to 8 people. They know all our villas well and make sure you are settled into the villa before they leave you.

Taxi – there is normally a queue of taxis waiting outside the arrivals hall, so a nice and easy although expensive option.

Two 5 star reviews

P.B. - April 2019

The villa was lovely and very clean. We paid for the pool to be heated and this was essential as weather was cooler than we expected.
My Granddaughter loved the wendy house. She spent a lot of time in and out and inviting Grandma to tea with her new tea set. Also the shopping trolley got a lot of use. The bouncy chair was very useful and the villa is well set up for families. We only met Rosie once but she was contactable by phone if we needed anything.
We liked the area, it is away from the noise of bigger resorts. The local bakery was excellent and we found some nice coves.
Good transfers - on time and we also used them for a big shop and a trip to local town.
The weather was cooler than expected but we had a relaxing time, we would probably go later in the season next time.

I.T. - September 2017

We had a fantastic holiday thank you! The villa was absolutely perfect for us all. It had everything we needed and more. My boys would have stayed in the pool all day if they could have! Worst thing was coming home.
Have already recommended to others!
