Outside

A larger than usual private garden with bordering plants which backs onto a melon field, so plenty of space for outside dining, sunbathing and for the kids to wear themselves out before bedtime!

There is a large Cypriot style stone built BBQ with sink and preparation area which makes cooking outside very easy. A bolted gate ensures you control access to the garden and the poolside shower is very useful for post-beach showering and for topping up the baby paddling pool with cold or warm water! If you need it, we provide fencing across one section of the garden to create a fenced play area with play house and toys in front of the pool so one of the patio doors has access to it. This means you can leave that door open so toddlers can play inside or outside in the fenced area away from the pool. The pool is 8 x 4 meters. There's outside dining for 6 people with a large sun umbrella, sun loungers, plus pool and garden lighting if you like sitting outside late in the evening.

Although plenty of street parking is available, there is a driveway if you would like to park the car in the villa grounds.

The villa is located in Kapparis, a beach resort on the East coast of Cyprus just north of Protaras and Pernera. It is an up-and-coming town which has all the amenities of a bigger resort without the downsides. It’s only 3 minutes walk in one direction to the safe sandy beaches and the same distance in the other to all the restaurants and shops in Kapparis.

Beaches
There are 3 local beaches to choose from, Malama bay being the nearest (3 min walk) and the furthest Fireman’s bay (about 8 minutes’ walk). You can drive and park at the beaches too if you've got too much to carry.

All the beaches are sandy and very sheltered (so perfect for paddling) and along the edges of the coves there are rocky pools & caves to explore! The snorkelling is amazing. The two main beaches (Malama and Fireman’s) are very well maintained and have sunbeds & umbrellas for hire (€2.50 a day) and Malama Bay has a nice tavern where you can enjoy a cold beer and watch the sun go down. Our favourite (we call Bear cove!) is between the two and is nearly always deserted. It does have quite steep steps down to it, but for us definitely worth it.

Restaurants and Shops
Kapparis is a very family friendly town with around 10 great places to eat including Italian, Cypriot & Greek European. There is a very nice modern Italian place (called Just Italian) and 3 local Cypriot restaurants that we really like.

Our favourite is Faliros where the food is fantastic, cocktails are 3 Euros and they have great entertainment on Thursdays! There are about 6 bars, ranging from Mello which is very relaxed with comfy soft sofas inside & out to relax on, to the sports bars that focus more on the latest sports and have pool tables etc. There are plenty of other shops and a fabulous bakery called Marangos which has every type of dessert you could imagine; cakes, breads, sweets and they do takeaway food like lasagne and roast chicken if you don't fancy cooking.

There are 3 supermarkets in Kapparis that cover all the basics; food, fresh fruit and veg, frozen foods, children's essentials (nappies, baby food etc), fun things for pool and beach, and a well stocked off-licence that sells beer and wine called Bottom's Up! Just up the road is a fabulous butchers and further shops with more choice for fresh fruit and veg.

Children's Activities
Kapparis has a great children’s play area with a huge choice of bouncy castles, giant inflatable slides, trampolines and other rides. There’s a parent’s area for relaxing (with a drink and food if you want) while the children play in the park.

  • Transfer time from Larnaca 45 mins
  • Flight time from UK 4 hrs 30 - 5 hrs 10 mins

There are two nearby airports:

Larnaca Airport is a 60 km (36 mile) 45 min drive
Paphos Airport is a 170km (100 mile) 2 hr drive.

Travel from airport to villa

Car hire – plenty to choose from. Some will meet you in the arrivals hall, a few have desks there and some are located just outside the airport. We can recommend a good hire car company that meets you as you come out of the arrivals hall.

Transfers – again plenty to choose from. We have worked with a fantastic transfer company for many years that beat the others on both price and service. They cost €50 each way for 4 people plus luggage and provide child seats for no extra cost. Just let us know your children’s ages and they select the appropriate seat. Its €70 for up to 6 and €80 for up to 8 people. They know all our villas well and make sure you are settled into the villa before they leave you.

Taxi – there is normally a queue of taxis waiting outside the arrivals hall, so a nice and easy although expensive option.

C.A. - May 2018

Very nice villa with six beds and one for the baby. The villa is equipped with every thing you need to take care of a small child, including books, videos, toys, etc. The villa has a pool of its own, very secluded and quiet. In the garden there is a separate grill area, with everything you need to arrange your own barbecue. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and everything worked as a dream when we came to the airport. Our taxi was waiting for us and if we needed a taxi during or stay it was just to let the company know.

E.W. - May 2018

Just wanted to say a big thank you for making our holiday as relaxing and fun as possible with a toddler ;) The Villa was wonderful and the toys were a hit. Special thanks to Rosie for the warm welcome and assistance and to Empire for the easiest rental ever!
We had such a great time in and out of the pool and getting to the local beaches. The guide you provided was brilliant. Thanks as well for the barbecue, think that provided our favourite meals of the holiday.
We will definitely recommend you guys and will look to come back in the future with more family... when the dust settles after baby number 2 is born that is.

E.W. - May 2018

Lovely holiday villa. Clean, bright and great decor. All at Villas4Kids so helpful in setting up the holiday in any way the could (car rental, places to visit etc). Toys set out as promised and well received by 2 year old who settled in straight away. Beautiful, well kept pool. Ample safe space for relaxing or eating or playing in or out. Plenty of fun to be had near by. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

C.A. - May 2018

The best thing about our trip was the villa, the pool, the BBQ area – especially the “party tent corner” in the morning sunlight!
We loved to stay in the villa and hope to get back in a couple of years! Would absolutely recommend to others.

E.S. - May 2018

A very good holiday and lovely villa.

W.H. - February 2018

Great villa. Great amenities. Spotless. Just what we were looking for. We were looking for a hassle free few days whilst in Cyprus and this place delivered

L.N. - February 2018

Lovely spacious villa that was like home from home. Nice and clean and well equipped with some lovely thought out touches especially for the kids. Weather wasn’t the best but there were plenty of toys and tv channels to entertain us. Great location as close to the sea, restaurants and local supermarket. Thanks Chris for the recommendations on the places to go, would definitely book again :-)

A.D. - October 2017

Thank you very much for everything again and we are counting down till next year!!!
Sparkling clean, brilliant team.
The Wii was fantastic :) and all other toys were fantastic.
We spent most of the time at the villa as we were all so happy there it was a bit pointless to venture outside :)
Best thing was being all together happily in a safe environment.

J.B. - October 2017

Great villa with secure area for toddlers and plenty of toys. Fantastic swimming pool, warm and sunbeds to lounge on with a lovely shaded area. Lovely open plan villa. Beaches on the doorstep, sandy and shallow warm water. Boat hire locally. We hired a speed boat for 5 of us and went to the Blue Lagoon. Lovely warm clear water. Our 4 year old loved it. Only Tony's Bar local for children entertainment but good restaurants.

C.D. - August 2017

Loads of great beaches ideal for kids, all within walking distance or very short car ride if you're keeping life easy. Good wide choice of restaurants / bars /supermarkets again, all within walking distance. The villa itself is set up perfectly, the pool and patio area are really excellent so we alternated beach days with pool days and the odd look around (although we were really lazy on that front). All rooms are well appointed, clean and cool with aircon and good blinds. There were 3 bathrooms plus an outside shower so ideal for getting ready quickly with no one waiting. The lounge & kitchen were really nice, wifi, good TV and a Wii. Villas4Kids were very helpful from the off, sorting out transfers, hire car plus a local rep welcomed us as soon as we settled in and was available throughout. It really was such an easy trip, the weather was amazing, little adjustment to get used to but it's just guaranteed sunshine from first thing in the morning and late afternoon is really lovely.

A.M. - July 2017

We have just returned from our second stay at Villa Sophia. Having enjoyed our first holiday there last year so much we just had to go back. The villa is modern and spacious with everything you will need. The pool and large garden are very relaxing with excellent additions for children. It's very private so everyone can relax and totally chill out. The air con system is brand new and as we experienced a heat wave of temperatures in the forties during our stay this was almost certainly a life saver!! The location is great with lovely beaches, bars and superb restaurants close by. Just a ten minute trip by taxi takes you to the busy Protaras strip. Chris is an excellent point of contact in the UK during the booking process and makes sure all your requests are in place for your arrival. Nothing is too much trouble for Rosie, the point of contact in the resort. Rosie greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco and a local delicacy on our arrival. What a lovely touch. Fantastic holiday had by all and we will most certainly be booking a third visit next year. Thanks all at Villas4Kids!

N.M. - June 2017

When trying to find a holiday destination that would cater for our young family (son aged 3 and girl aged 1) we were struggling to find anything until we came across Villas4kids. At first it sounded too good to be true but we spoke to Chris over e-mail and suddenly came to realise we had to book this amazing villa. Chris made sure the booking process was easy and quick, great communication throughout the lead up to our holiday. When we arrived we were so happy with what we found. The villa and pool were amazing, the extra touches like a play mat full of toys, books and DVDs kept our children entertained all week. The villa was very clean and well maintained throughout. When Rosie came to visit us the following morning she gave us more information on the area and sent me a pdf of local places to visit, eat and drink. We had one small issue during the week but a quick message to Rosie and she had it sorted it literally minutes, great service.
I cannot recommend this villa and Villas4kids highly enough, we are already looking for our next holiday with them. They ensure a stay with small children is as easy as they can make it which for us is exactly what we need.

N.L. - November 2016

We stayed in the villa in November 2016 and had a great time there. Very nice, clean and cosy villa. Nicely decoreted, and what is the most important - it is very kids friendly! I have never meet such villas or aparts before. Very recommended for families with kids!

A.S. - July 2016

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Kapparis staying in Villa Sophia. As we usually stay in hotels/apartments, this was our first time holidaying in a Villa. From the moment of booking, we were quickly confident and any doubt was replaced by excitement! All our requests were handled in a very professional manner by Chris. The Villa had everything to help make your holiday as easy and relaxing as possible with young children, the safe fenced play area, paddling pool, Wendy house, toys, books, DVDs along with stair gates, baby monitor etc. everything is child friendly. Rosie, the rep for the area was friendly and courteous. She called in to see us the morning after our arrival and we didn't need to contact her again at all during our stay which, in my opinion speaks volumes! Everything was just 'perfect' . The area is very quiet and peaceful, with a nice balance of shops and restaurants! Tony's restaurant is good, great food and a large play area for the children. Ten minutes in a local taxi takes you to the Protaras strip if you want to sample some more shops and restaurants. All in all the Villa is superb in a brilliant location and we will most certainly be returning next summer. We would highly recommend Villas4Kids to anyone considering booking.....go for it, you will absolutely love it!!
